About us:

We are a revolutionary biotech with East and West Coast presence, aimed to improve the current standards of cell therapy for cancer and beyond. Spun off from an Ivy league school, we leverage proprietary, next-level gene editing platforms for highly efficient engineering of therapeutic immune cells to develop the best cell therapy candidates that can overcome the hurdles in today’s cancer treatment.

The Role: We are looking for a Scientist/Engineer (no PhD required) experienced with CAR Immunology, process development and Preclinical Development with expertise in adoptive cell therapy and CAR immune cell engineering.

In this role, the candidate will be involved with the research and preclinical development of our research pipeline. The candidate will be tasked with T cell Engineering, Vector Engineering, NK Cell Engineering and working with Bioinformatics teams.

We are looking for candidates who enjoy working in a team and can leverage the growth opportunities that an early startup provides. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who is excited about cell therapy development and making an impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute experiments to optimize cell therapy manufacturing processes, including cell expansion, transduction, and cryopreservation.

  • Develop and implement analytical assays to characterize cell therapy products and monitor process performance.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Research, Development, and Manufacturing, to ensure successful transfer of processes from development to production.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of experimental procedures, results, and conclusions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Cell Biology, or related field.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in process development and cell engineering, preferably in the field of cell therapy.

  • Hands-on experience with cell culture techniques, cell transduction, and analytical assays for cell characterization.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex scientific data effectively.
