  • Company: Mid-sized CRO (2000+ employees including 150+ in Germany)

  • Salary: €60,000 - €67,000 (depending on experience)

  • Therapy Areas: Oncology, Haematology, Rare Disease, & Infectious Diseases

  • Site visits: 6-8 per month on average

  • Site locations: Germany only not whole DACH region

This company are a mid-sized CRO with a fantastic reputation in Europe for being friendly, flexible, and sociable. They have a leading average tenure in the CRO industry and most CRAs that join this company tend not to leave. This is because here, you are more likely to develop towards a hybrid position or as a Lead CRA, Trial Lead, or CPM. Not only this, but the monitoring position is not lead by metrics but by specific study needs. This means you are left more time to respond to site queries, follow up on your reports, or prioritize whatever activities you feel are most beneficial to your assigned studies. Promotions are based on merit here and not longevity.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting all types of monitoring visits including SQVs, SIVs, IMVs, and COVs

  • Supporting the study startup stage (when necessary)

  • Performing CRF reviews and query resolution

  • Oversee study milestones, activities, timelines, and schedules for assigned sites

  • Perform adverse event and serious Training and mentoring of junior staff members as well as co-monitoring tasks when required

  • Act as main POC for internal support processes and vendors

  • Participate and contribute towards feasibility research

  • Support regulatory department in document preparation for submissions and approval


Requirements

  • Life science-related degree or equivalent

  • Independent monitoring experience in Germany

  • Fluent German speaking level (or C1 minimum)

  • Experience monitoring in Phase I – III studies

  • Experience conducting different types of site visits (from initiation through to close out)
