Head of Bioassay Development


Are you ready to lead a dynamic team in the development and qualification of bioassay methods? We are seeking a Head of Bioassay Development Department to join an expanding pharmaceutical business, based in Budapest. This role is crucial for ensuring the high professional and scientific quality of bioassay development projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the development and qualification of bioassay methods (cellular and binding assays).

  • Oversee bioassay quality data collection, scheduling, and evaluation of characterization measurements.

  • Implement professional and quality standards, ensuring data integrity throughout development phases.

  • Schedule and execute bioassay development work packages according to project CMC timelines.

  • Represent the department in internal, regulatory, partner, and expert discussions and due diligences.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant market regulations and authority expectations.

  • Liaise with partner departments, partners, and authorities, ensuring compliance with external and internal audits.


Requirements:

  • MSc/University degree in a specialized field (Biologist, Biotechnologist, Chemist, Bioengineer, or relevant higher education in health). A PhD would be advantageous, if backed up with industry experience.

  • Fluent English language skills.

  • Proficient computer skills (MS Office).

  • Knowledge of quality assurance principles.

  • Experience with bioanalytical/bioassay methods, specifically from an industry setting.

  • Managerial experience is essential
