My client has an exciting opportunity for Project Manager to work with the Data & Analytics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with stakeholders, defining and refining requirements and business value, understanding, documenting ad delivering projects with technology & data focus.
This role will be based from my clients central London office, working on a hybrid 3 days a week basis.
This role will be a 12 month fixed-term contract, with possible extensions.
Role responsibilities:
· Comprehend and document the overarching scope and business value for each Technology & Data initiative in the backlog, collaborating with stakeholders as necessary to define and refine requirements and business value.
· Determine the types of resources needed to implement the changes and develop a rough order of magnitude for delivery effort.
· Establish a timeline for completing each initiative up to the end of the design phase.
· Identify and estimate the costs of augmenting the team to expedite initiatives.
· Establish the priority of initiatives and schedule them accordingly.
· Initiate and manage high-priority initiatives for the Technology & Data function.
· Develop and oversee comprehensive project plans to a sufficient level of detail to mitigate risks and dependencies and ensure delivery assurance.
· Oversee all communication, progress tracking, updates, RAID items and their mitigation, and budget management (as needed) for initiatives.
· Position is within the Group PMO, with a dotted line to the Head of Technology & Data.
· Must be comfortable managing uncertainty.
· A proactive problem solver, able to use initiative to maintain progress.
· Confident in demonstrating “what good looks like” and managing expectations accordingly.
· Strong understanding of modern data platforms and business intelligence solutions.
Required experience:
· Extensive experience in delivering Technology & Data initiatives to achieve outcomes.
· Experience with Data project delivery including data lakes, PowerBI and cloud data.
· Proven experience with MS Project and Azure DevOps (or JIRA).
· Must have experience in both Waterfall and Agile Delivery (DSDM, PRINCE2 AGILE, PMI, etc.).
· Proven ability to keep a team focused under pressure.
· Proven experience in managing and instilling confidence in senior stakeholders.
· Proven experience in resource planning and management to align with portfolio demand, including identifying resource gaps as necessary.
