A leading innovator in the pharmaceutical industry, dedicated to advancing healthcare through cutting-edge research, development, and manufacturing of life-saving medications. We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of AI to lead my clients Artificial Intelligence initiatives, driving innovation, efficiency, and transformative changes in drug discovery, development, and manufacturing processes.
Position Overview: As the Head of AI, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our AI strategy. You will lead a talented team of AI professionals, collaborating cross-functionally with research and development, data science, IT, and other departments to leverage AI technologies for enhanced drug discovery, process optimization, and decision-making.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a comprehensive AI strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
Provide visionary leadership to guide the organization in adopting and integrating AI technologies.
Lead and mentor a high-performing team of AI professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Build a diverse and skilled team capable of driving AI initiatives across various business functions.
Implement AI solutions to expedite drug discovery and development processes.
Collaborate with research and development teams to identify opportunities for AI applications in molecular modelling, target identification, and preclinical research.
Oversee the development and implementation of AI algorithms for analysing complex biological, chemical, and clinical data.
Ensure seamless integration of AI models with existing data infrastructure.
Identify opportunities to streamline and optimize manufacturing processes using AI, enhancing efficiency and reducing costs.
Implement AI-driven predictive maintenance and quality control measures in manufacturing facilities.
Stay abreast of AI-related regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry.
Work with regulatory affairs teams to ensure compliance with relevant standards and guidelines.
Collaborate with external partners, research institutions, and technology providers to stay at the forefront of AI advancements.
Evaluate and establish partnerships that support the company's AI objectives.
Required experience and qualifications:
Advanced degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or Computational Biology.
Proven leadership experience in implementing AI solutions within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
Strong understanding of drug discovery and development processes.
Must have a minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical or life science industry experience.
Expertise in machine learning, natural language processing, and other AI technologies.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements related to AI in pharmaceuticals.
You are a visionary leader with a passion for leveraging AI to revolutionise pharmaceutical processes and possess significant experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
