Key Responsibilities:

  • Portfolio Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive portfolio strategies to maximize market opportunities and drive business growth.

  • Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify trends, gaps, and emerging opportunities within the pharmaceutical sector.

  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation to discontinuation, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with company objectives.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, marketing, sales, and regulatory teams to ensure seamless product development and launch processes.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.

  • Innovation: Drive innovation by identifying and championing new product opportunities and enhancements to existing products.

  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze portfolio performance metrics, making data-driven decisions to optimize profitability and market presence.

  • Sales Forecasting: Utilize robust environmental understanding to forecast sales results accurately, providing strategic insights for decision-making.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in pharmaceutical portfolio management, product management, or a related role within the pharmaceutical industry. Minimum of 5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience.

  • Strategic Mindset: Strong strategic thinking and planning skills with the ability to translate market insights into actionable strategies.

  • Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the primary and secondary care market, including regulatory requirements, competitive landscape, and emerging trends.

  • Analytical Skills: Highly analytical with excellent skills in interpreting complex data and making informed decisions. Ability to forecast sales results from robust environmental understanding.

  • Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Compliance: Understanding of the ABPI code of conduct and ensuring all activities are compliant.

  • Innovation Focus: Passion for innovation and a proactive approach to identifying and capitalizing on new opportunities.

  • Education: A degree in pharmacy, life sciences, business, or a related field is preferred.
