Program Manager

Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire area - 3 days minimum on site

£80-100k basic + excellent benefits

​Are you ready to lead groundbreaking projects that revolutionise scientific research? We're seeking a dynamic and energetic Program Manager to drive the delivery of cutting-edge lab automation/instrumentation products and consumables. You'll manage highly complex projects, ensuring timely and high-quality solutions that meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.

Program Manager Responsibilities:

  • Ensure program success by delivering new products on time, within budget, whilst meeting quality and performance standards.

  • Lead cross-functional teams to bring innovative lab automation products and consumables to market quickly.

  • Collaborate with the PMO to develop and maintain project plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

  • Coordinate with resource managers to allocate resources effectively and provide necessary tools, training, and support for team members.

  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and resolve issues promptly.

  • Facilitate communication across all business functions and teams, including R&D, product management, marketing, sales, manufacturing engineering, and customer support.

  • Work closely with R&D teams to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with product specifications, complying with relevant regulatory standards and quality requirements.

  • Implement and maintain rigorous quality control processes to ensure product reliability and performance. Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Solve complex problems and lead strategic program execution from concept to production.

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.

  • Protect intellectual property by ensuring proper security of project documentation.

Program Manager Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.

  • 5+ years of cross-functional project and/or technical leadership experience.

  • 10+ years of experience in program or project management within a product development, manufacturing, and/or research environment.

  • Demonstrable experience of meeting project goals while satisfying quality, performance, schedule, and budget requirements.

  • Strong understanding of product development processes, including hardware, software, and consumables.

  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
