This is an outstanding and unique opportunity for someone to take on a brand new challenge in an expanding mid-sized pharmaceutical company with a growing portfolio across general medicine, women’s health, CNS and biotechnology.

Assuming responsibility to plan and re-shape commercial strategy, this position will lead five key countries in taking accountability for full P&L. As a headline, this person will need to be able to look beyond the current way of thinking and consider new approaches to maximise the return on investment across each of the regions.

Working closely with business units, the Regional Head will not only take on an influential role in helping define where to invest time and the best approach in how to successfully achieve this, but will also be crucial in helping General Managers understand how to inspire this shift in approach.

The ability to balance strategic and informed decision making, along with the capability to implement the ideas and measure the benefits, will be key to the success of this hire.

The role can be performed remotely across Europe – but there will be a need to be flexible to travel to the headquarters in Hungary as required. This need will be higher in the first six months in order to build a strong understanding of the business and culture.

Key experience:

• Previous experience within a regional / cluster management position within the pharmaceutical industry

• Therapeutic / Product area experience is completely flexible, although experience in generics and/or innovative markets would be of interest

• Senior leadership experience – both direct and indirect

• Track record of influencing change

• Experienced in full accountability for P&L
