My client offers an outstanding opportunity to become a Senior System Administrator at a rapidly expanding biotech company. In this role, you will utilize your expertise in Infrastructure and Networking to guarantee the smooth operation of both cloud-based and on-premise compute environments. You will influence the Infrastructure Services strategy, assess and implement advanced technologies, and lead continuous improvement and lifecycle management within our operational framework.

 

Role Responsibilities

 

·         Develop, deploy, and manage infrastructure solutions in Microsoft Azure and on-premise Azure Stack HCI.

·         Ensure systems align with industry, internal, compliance, and security standards.

·         Supervise 3rd party service providers from proposal assessment through project execution and support.

·         Oversee the lifecycle management of Compute platforms and services.

·         Promote continuous improvement in compute infrastructure services.

·         Conduct preventative maintenance, system checks, and updates.

·         Offer technical guidance, mentorship, and training to junior team members.

·         Create and maintain HLDs, LLDs, and support documentation.

·         Engage in governance forums, including TDA, Change Management, and Problem Management.

 

Candidate Requirements

 

·         10+ years of experience as an IT Infrastructure Systems administrator with Azure cloud and on-premise HCI platforms.

·         Proficient in PKI systems, Active Directory, file services, Backup and Recovery solutions, Windows and Linux Servers, Patch Management, vulnerability management, remote access management, and network protocols (SMTP, NTP, DNS).

·         Knowledge of Microsoft Intune for mobile device and application management (Preferred).

·         Hands-on experience with end-user computers and the capability to resolve complex technical issues (Preferred).

·         Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior team members.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·         Ability to present technical solutions to non-technical audiences (Preferred).

·         Experience in managing IT vendor and service provider relationships.

·         Enthusiastic about solving business problems and collaborating with stakeholders.

·         Experience in leading IT service improvements and technology upgrades (Preferred).

·         Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to enhance operational efficiency and drive continuous improvement.

·         High attention to detail and commitment to quality.

·         Experience in highly regulated industries (Preferred).

·         Experience in managing IT risks and technical debt (Preferred).

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Preferred) or equivalent technical experience.

·         Relevant industry certifications and accreditations.
